Village house in Alcaucin with large garden and amazing views (Malaga)

Even if you hadn't thought VILLAGE, and were looking for a country place, think twice!!...

This house might be ideal for a family (the local school is only one minute's walk from the house), or a couple wishing to settle in with a bit of space, but is especially suited to those who want to enjoy having a good sized outdoor space and pool, but be in, and a part of, a Spanish community, rather than being cut off from any sense of community in the countryside. Those who have taken this decision are usually thankful that they did!

This impressive traditional style village house is in the very pretty mountain village of Alcaucín and has been carefully restored in the old rustic style, maintaining many of the original features of the house.

It has beams, rustic floors, doors and windows, wonderful old, incredibly thick walls and an inner patio onto which many of the windows of the house look.  What's more, it has a lovely, spacious back garden with a large pool and outside storeroom, enjoying breathtaking views across the valley towards the mountains and the amazing U shaped mountain pass of Zafarraya.

The house consists of: downstairs, a front entrance room (possible reading room), very large living and diningroom with open plan rustic, fully fitted kitchen, utility room, one double bedroom and one bathroom; upstairs it has a further three bedrooms (two large double rooms, one single), and two bathrooms (one en-suite).  The master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the garden and the views.  The front bedroom overlooks the street and its whitewashed houses disappearing down the hill with the distant countryside beyond!

For the winter months, there are several state-of-the-art pellet stoves with automatic feeder bins, designed to keep you as warm as toast with minimum effort.

The house is on the outskirts of the village, with parking outside or very close to the house, and is just a very short walk from the centre.  Alcaucin is renowned for its incredible beauty, flower-clad narrow streets, little bars and restaurants, friendly atmosphere, and its never-ending supply of natural spring water gushing out of the many fountains, attracting water-collectors from far away.
